Located on 30 acres of the spectacular St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida, The District is a premier mixed-use urban resort which will capitalize on the waterfront and empower the community to achieve healthier lives in everyday activities. Focused on creating an active and healthy atmosphere, residents will range from young professionals and families to retirees. This unique project will feature river front restaurants, shopping and entertainment and will be a destination for active lifestyles. Its resort style environment will incorporate river access through boat, jet ski, sailboat, canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals. A concept of which Jacksonville has a significant void.

The project will be completed in three phases over a span of four to six years. Upon completion The District will encompass approximately 200,000 square feet of retail space, 200,000 square feet of office space, 1,170 apartments/condominiums, and a 150-200 key hotel. Multiple waterfront restaurants will overlook the beautiful St. Johns River and the world’s largest video boards located at Everbank Field. The marina will include both public and private access and will feature up to 125 boat slips. In addition, a ferry system that transports patrons to and from venues along the St. Johns river and throughout the downtown area will be accessible from the development. The City of Jacksonville recently completed a $17 million 1.2 mile extension of the Southbank Riverwalk to the edge of the site with plans to extend it an additional .38 miles along the face of The District. This addition will be the culmination of a 7.9 mile linear Riverwalk spanning the north and south banks of the Central Business District.

In 2016, Chase Properties sold their interest in the project to Rummell-Munz Partners.
